To support residents in reducing their waste, SIETREM has adopted a Local Waste Prevention Program (PLPDMA), aligned with the Grenelle Environmental Agreement and developed by ADEME, the French Agency for Ecological Transition.
On October 12, 2021, SIETREM’s governing board unanimously approved the 2021–2026 Waste Prevention Program. Objective: Achieve a 12% reduction in household and similar waste (kg per capita) by 2026, compared to 2010 levels.
