SIETREM provides residents with dedicated bins for the collection of household waste, recyclable packaging, newspapers/magazines, and glass. Each container is designed specifically for one waste stream and must be used accordingly. These containers are designed exclusively to collect these different types of waste.
All bins remain the property of SIETREM. They are assigned to a specific address, may not be exchanged between users, and must be left on-site if the resident moves.
Routine maintenance (cleaning, washing, disinfecting) is the responsibility of the user. Mechanical maintenance (replacement of wheels, lids, etc.) is carried out by SIETREM, provided it results from normal use.
Residents must inform SIETREM of any damage to their bins. Special care should be taken with the flange (lifting bar), which is used to empty the bin mechanically. If the flange is damaged, the bin cannot be emptied.
If a bin is stolen, it will be replaced free of charge with another of equivalent volume, upon presentation of a theft report issued by the competent authorities.
The municipal by-law in your town defines the exact collection days and times.
For daytime collections: Put bins out as late as possible the evening before, or before 5:00 a.m. on the day of collection.
For evening collections: Bins must be removed by 6:00 p.m. on the day of collection.
