All the guidelines for disposing of your household waste (garnet-coloured bin)
Residual household waste must be placed exclusively in the bins provided by SIETREM. These containers are collected during scheduled waste collection rounds.
The following items are accepted in the garnet-coloured bin:
General household waste from food preparation and daily cleaning
Broken glassware or crockery
Cold ashes
Leaves and small amounts of grass clippings
Rags and fabric scraps
Sweepings and miscellaneous non-recyclable residues
All waste must be deposited inside the appropriate bin and placed in front of your home or at the entrance of lanes inaccessible to trucks, on the designated collection day.
The following are not accepted in the household waste bin:
Spoil, rubble, and construction debris from public or private works
Large amounts of green waste
Any waste that falls under other regulated streams (e.g. biowaste, packaging, hazardous waste) This list is not exhaustive. SIETREM reserves the right to reclassify materials and assimilate unlisted items into existing waste categories.
