Every year, at the start of the new school year, SIETREM offers all children in CM1 fun and educational writing or text books. These tools contain valuable advice on waste management and the preservation of raw materials.
SIETREM offers its member local authorities school events that take place in the classroom, in the presence of the teacher. There are two sessions:
In 2023, 3,317 children learned about waste prevention and sorting during school hours. At the end of the two sessions, a snack box is offered to the pupils by the syndicate. In this way, they can combat over-packaging and reduce their waste production.
The “What happens to our waste?” and “How to manage your waste?” guides are available to raise awareness of proper waste management.
Each September, SIETREM also publishes its annual activity report, summarizing the past year.
