we raise awareness

Communication media

The SIETREM provides users with a range of communication tools to help them with their day-to-day waste management and to raise awareness of sorting instructions for recyclable household packaging.

Sorting instructions and online collection calendar inform you about sorting instructions and collection days.

Stickers with sorting instructions for the yellow and green bins can also be affixed to your bins, summarizing the sorting instructions.

Don’t hesitate to ask us if yours have become detached, faded or torn.

As part of their mission to raise awareness of sorting instructions in collective housing, SIETREM’s eco-agents distribute an awareness kit (paper-format leaflet on sorting instructions and stickers for the bins) to support users in their daily sorting activities at home.

The SIETREM leaflet provides information on the location of the 5 SIETREM waste collection centers, access conditions, opening hours and the waste accepted and refused…

During events in which SIETREM takes part, various materials and objects are distributed to the public (magnets, pens, memo-sorting rulers, etc.).

Only household waste is managed by the SIETREM. However, the SIETREM allows professionals to collect and treat part of their household waste.

The Guide de la gestion des déchets professionnels informs you about this tolerance and the instructions for sorting and depositing non-accepted waste.

Tri’mestriel (the SIETREM magazine) is distributed free of charge 4 times a year to all the letterboxes of households in the SIETREM member towns. If you notice any anomalies (magazine inserted with advertisements, non-receipt of the document, receipt of several copies, etc.), please do not hesitate to let us know at:

Every year, at the start of the new school year, SIETREM offers all children in CM1 fun and educational writing or text books. These tools contain valuable advice on waste management and the preservation of raw materials.

SIETREM offers its member local authorities school events that take place in the classroom, in the presence of the teacher. There are two sessions:

  • 1st session on waste prevention and incineration,
  • 2nd session on waste sorting and recycling.

In 2023, 3,317 children learned about waste prevention and sorting during school hours. At the end of the two sessions, a snack box is offered to the pupils by the syndicate. In this way, they can combat over-packaging and reduce their waste production.

The “What happens to our waste?” and “How to manage your waste?” guides are available to raise awareness of proper waste management.

Each September, SIETREM also publishes its annual activity report, summarizing the past year.

This website will provide you with all the information you need to reduce the volume of your rubbish, sort it properly and manage your waste more effectively.

Finally, feel free to like, share and follow SIETREM on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
