The shared goal of the communication team and SIETREM’s eco-agents is to inform and empower residents—helping them reduce the amount of waste they produce and guiding them in adopting better sorting practices in their daily lives.
Communication efforts focus on two main areas : written communication and face-to-face local outreach.
This waste awareness work responds to several key needs :
SIETREM’s team of eco-agents leads a wide range of in-person outreach activities. These include :
– Door-to-door visits to raise awareness and answer questions;
– On-site checks of recycling bin contents to promote proper sorting;
– Workshops and educational activities in local schools (cycle 3) and community centers during school holidays, to teach children the importance of responsible waste habits.
