Renovation and extension of the Saint-Thibault-des-Vignes Waste-to-Energy Plant
Due to the ageing condition of the incineration furnaces at the Saint-Thibault-des-Vignes Waste-to-Energy Unit, SIETREM will carry out major improvement and modernization works on its industrial facilities, particularly the furnaces. These will be replaced with state-of-the-art equipment to ensure even more efficient and responsible household waste treatment.
This renovation will help reduce the plant’s environmental footprint, improve its energy performance, and provide a more efficient supply to the future district heating network.
In planning this modernization, SIETREM has taken into account both the current and future needs of its territory, as well as potential partnerships with neighboring local authorities.
Given the scale of the work, a consultation phase was carried out in 2024 at the initiative of Christian ROBACHE, Chairman of SIETREM, and his team, to involve the population in the early stages of the project. The results were then published. The aim of this process was to take account of the various opinions and identify possible ways of improving the project.
